Love's Philosophy
1
The fountains mingle with the river
And the rivers with the Ocean
The winds of Heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In one spirit meet and mingle.
Why not I with thine? -
2
See the mountains kiss high Heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained it's brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;
What is all this sweet work worth
If thou kiss not me?
Percy B. Shelley

Favorite Literature
Weave me a story of promises.
Built on a foundation of hope,
Endurance sealed our fate,
To last until time becomes still,
Memories of you do not fade,
But only burn their impressions on my mind,
For me to recall and cherish,
Your pages are bound tightly together,
Into a book I created and kept,
It might be worn around the edges by time and use,
But it will always be my greatest read,
And the only literature to my heart
Built on a foundation of hope,
Endurance sealed our fate,
To last until time becomes still,
Memories of you do not fade,
But only burn their impressions on my mind,
For me to recall and cherish,
Your pages are bound tightly together,
Into a book I created and kept,
It might be worn around the edges by time and use,
But it will always be my greatest read,
And the only literature to my heart

A Tribute to Wangari Mathai
Wangari mathai was a Kenyan Women rights defender, an environmentalist and certainly a female leader like no other ever seen in the history of Kenya. She's highly revered for her great contribution in the defense of Uhuru park, a recreation center that was sold by the then president Daniel Arap Moi in the early 90's to a foreign investor. Wangari Mathai, claimed that building a skyscraper where Uhuru park stood would degrade the environment and she fought with words, body and soul. She was manhandled by the Moi regime, arrested and detained for so long. But the Kenyan women would not let her down either. They protested naked in the streets of Nairobi catching the attention of the international community. Unfortunately, She succumbed to cervical cancer mid last year leaving a mark in history. In her home town, a local TV station reported with live footage, a tree she planted in her village mourn her death by releasing water in its back.
Note this, she loved nature that it is said that at some time in her life she refused to use papers made from trees. If you think I'm making up things, rub that off your mind. This is a woman who even after death, protected the environment. In her will, it was found out that she opted for immolation as opposed to burial which would mean, destruction of a tree to make her casket. ...

Reflections in the golden eye ...
We are reflections in the golden eye
of day's new face, as we pass by,
and all the sights and sounds
and all the things we know
are shapes upon the stage,
within the magic
lantern's colored glow.
In metaphor I measure out
these things, not knowing if
they're real or my imaginings,
but my perception tells me they are real,
with gain and loss on human nature's spinning wheel.
Life is tested, time and time again, in bold relief,
and entropy's disordered randomness
has turbulence masquerading as it's thief.

Secrets Of My Heart
Why does my heart still hold on to you
At every waking moment, in everything I do
Why do I have to see your face all day
And if you knew, what would you say?
My heart breaks in two when I see her with you
And I think to myself, what didn't I do
I wish I could somehow turn back the time
And relive one second when you were mine.
I wish no one ever had to know
The feeling of lovesick pain from head to toe
Like someone rips out your heart and tears it in two
And sit back and watch is all you can do.
In my dreams you say those words I long to hear
And when I look in your eyes, I know you're sincere
So I'll see you later, when the day is through
When I'm asleep in my bed, dreaming of you.
At Primrose Hill I Met Two Girls ...
At Primrose Hill I met two girls
dancing about in sensual whirls.
Their shadows met upon a wall
as I stood there and watched it all.
And as they sang, I heard them say,
"Life is for living, seize the day!"
Ah sweetest sound, Ah words sublime,
angel voices, suspending time.
Around them floated shapes serene,
in circled gold and shades of green.
All that I saw was like a dream
that brought the magic of this scene.
At Primrose Hill I met two girls
dancing about in sensual whirls.
Their shadows met upon a wall
as I stood there and watched it all.

Caught In Dreams ...
Along the path I make my way.mp3
Along the path I make my way
but though I check my compass
every day, the journey always
leads me back to the bay.
Somewhere upon the wind,
or maybe from the silent sea,
I hear the voice again.
It calls to me...
"The labyrinth is wide and long
but only visible in metaphor or song.
And those who strive to find their way
walk on its endless tracks day by day
And most of them are caught in dreams,
spun out of gossamer thread and
cobwebbed themes."

Love Is In The Air ...
Love is in the air.
I saw it on my way
to where Miss Caffeine lives
(I meet her every day). :coffee:
Love is in the air
and love is all around.
I saw Love hanging there,
when I went into town.
Love is in the air.

Taking Tea ...
Taking tea is something good for we.
I prefer to sup the nectar in a bone china cup,
and add a dash of milk,
to turn the color into pearly silk.
Shall we have a cake? One with fruit embedded?
Oh the glory of that. We shall be light-headed
as the honey'd taste slides down.
Neither thee or me will make a sound
as we enjoy our tea,
gazing quietly out at the ever undulating sea.
Just us two - just we.
Taking tea is something good for we.mp3

Glad I am to greet the sun ...
Glad I am to greet the sun.mp3
Glad I am to greet the sun,
rising this day this beautiful morn,
sending its light through my tall trees
and dappling its beams upon my lawn.
Thanks be to all that makes this so,
filling my yard with such a day,
as through my lens I capture light
with all its sparkling jewelled display.
Glad I am to greet the sun,
rising this day this beautiful morn,
sending its light through my tall trees

Here comes the sun ...
Here comes the sun.mp3
Here comes the sun
Here comes the dawn.
Here comes the gold
of a new day born
Helios drives his
chariot with ease,
pulling Sol
above my trees.
Here comes the dawn.
Here comes the sun.
Here comes the gold
of a new day begun

Here comes the sun

"A Quiet Storm"
"Soft and warm a quiet storm"
Right now it`s raining
As I type this message to you.
I can hear the rain bounce off the roof.
Sometimes it`s light rain
Then it becomes very hard and loud.
The sound is beautiful,
It brings a feeling of calmness.
I wish you were here with me
So we could hold each other through the night
And whisper words of love.
I wish I could feel your heartbeat against my chest
And feel your arms holding me tight.
I want to hold you too,
Listen to me when I say you are my world
You are my love, I miss you now more then ever.
I love you, you will always be a part of me,
Interesting thoughts
About our dreams hopes and desires
Are what we put in action
Our journey in life is rewarding
In the moments just before my eyes close,
I start drifting off to sleep
I let the emotional side of me
Do what it does best,
It runs free to be with you
The one who knows my every wish
My every desire my pains and my sorrows,
This because you have shared all yours with me,
I come to you and wrap my self around you
To share comfort we both enjoy.
In those moments peace has arrived
Love fills every emotion through our soul,
This feeling becomes so real to me
I actually feel your body pressed against mine
I know nothing will stop us from the journey
We`ll be on through the night
The sound of your sighs
Tells me we`ll be alright
Embraced through the night
With each other,
~Dan~

I Remember You As You Were
I remember you as you were in the last autumn.
You were the grey beret and the still heart.
In your eyes the flames of the twilight fought on.
And the leaves fell in the water of your soul.
Clasping my arms like a climbing plant
the leaves garnered your voice, that was slow and at peace.
Bonfire of awe in which my thirst was burning.
Sweet blue hyacinth twisted over my soul.
I feel your eyes traveling, and the autumn is far off:
Grey beret, voice of a bird, heart like a house
Towards which my deep longings migrated
And my kisses fell, happy as embers.
Sky from a ship. Field from the hills:
Your memory is made of light, of smoke, of a still pond!
Beyond your eyes, farther on, the evenings were blazing.
Dry autumn leaves revolved in your soul. ...

To know your name
Pleasure found in an instant
When my eyes glimpsed upon you,
Angels face that made my heart race
All I wanted was to know your name,
To find out when we could become friends,
Nothing more then an instant,
And in you my life was changed.
Your smiling face erased a pain in me
One I carried for a while.
Something about you told me true
That we were meant for each other,
I looked in your eyes
And seen curiosity deep within.
Each others stares takes us there
Where we both wanted to know,
What life held for us,
Could we be each others future.
We`ll soon find out
When we start our conversation.
Be not afraid of what this could be
I feel something special in you.
The beat of my heart racing
As we approach each other,.
Hold my hand feel this touch
As gentle as it could be,
You are all I wanted
To complete this dream
That lives inside of me

mother earth
bared my soul
with the untold
hoping no scars,
hidden deep in mother earth
there`s nowhere to go,
unsafe is this place
that was once my safe home,
now its so corrupt
even buried in a hole,
there`s no safety underground
this whole world
being turned upside down,
grab hold of what we know
fight to keep it clean
when its gone
we have nothing left
only devastation
all around,
~Dan~
